Kathryn Scarmato represents clients in the sale of closely held businesses. With over 20 years of progressive experience in the mergers, acquisitions, hospitality and telecommunications fields, Ms. Scarmato has successfully completed over 400 transactions since 1987.
Her responsibilities include valuations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic planning, and coordinating the overall management of transactions. She is recognized for her high level of integrity with all company transactions. Ms. Scarmato received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and venture management) from the University of Southern California. William T. Barron, Broker

Mr. Barron brings over 35 years of Real Estate and Business Sales experience to ACG. A licensed Broker and land developer since 1975, Bill has overseen over 2000 transactions and provides clients with depth of experience not many can match. He is also a retired Naval Aviator and Korean War veteran and former Airline Captain. He has been featured in books and magazines as to his combat experiences. He has additional interests in fire safety and environmental businesses as A Barron Co. In his spare time he plays tennis.

Darren Mize, ASA, Accredited Sr. Appraiser

Mr. Mize has more than 10 years of business valuation experience, specializing in valuations for small to mid-market merger & acquisition candidates. He currently serves as a Partner and Manager at GCF Valuation, a full service business valuation firm located in Tampa, Florida. Gulf Coast has been an affiliate of ACG and works exclusively with business intermediary clients involved with buy/sell transactions of privately-held businesses. Mr. Mize holds a BA degree in Performance Management from The Florida State University. Darren also holds the ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser) Designation in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers.

W. Stephen Wilson, JD, Attorney at Law

With over 36 years of progressive legal representation, Mr. Wilson is a practicing attorney who specializes in corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and real estate securities. Mr. Wilson earned his JD from University of California at Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law in 1973 and did undergraduate work at Stanford University. Ascend identifies Mr. Wilson as a “team member” and highly recommends clients consider his services. Mr. Wilson has produced uniformly excellent results in deal structuring, negotiations and closings, and functions as a “deal-maker”, not a “deal-breaker.” Mr. Wilson’s services for clients are subject to a customary attorney-client agreement.

With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Erdmann offers appraisal services with a concentration on commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. During any business transaction, it is critical that an owner understand how the business property affects the business value and a deal structure. Robin can assist with any needs ranging from simple appraisals to complex issues involving multiple properties. Mr. Erdmann is currently the Chapter President of the American Society of Appraisers and has served on the board of the Appraisal Institute for many years in addition to other national affiliations.
