 Kathryn Scarmato is a results-oriented professional with over 20 years of experience in arranging mergers, acquisitions and financings for well-established businesses and its real estate. Ms. Scarmato’s experience includes successful transactions in manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, construction, hospitality and business-to-business service sectors. She has frequently provided ancillary consulting services to M&A clients, including valuations, strategic and financial planning and implementation and organizational restructuring. She has served clients in bankruptcy, and has qualified as an expert witness. Ms. Scarmato is the founder of Ascend Capital Group (ACG), a boutique M&A/business brokerage firm specializing in the valuation and sale of privately held businesses with up to $50M in value.  Mr. Barron brings over 35 years of Real Estate and Business Sales experience to ACG. A licensed Broker and land developer since 1975, Bill has overseen over 2000 transactions and provides clients with depth of experience not many can match. He is also a retired Naval Aviator and Korean War veteran and former Airline Captain. He has been featured in books and magazines as to his combat experiences. He has additional interests in fire safety and environmental businesses as A Barron Co. In his spare time he plays tennis.

 Mr. Mize has more than 10 years of business valuation experience, specializing in valuations for small to mid-market merger & acquisition candidates. He currently serves as a Partner and Manager at GCF Valuation, a full service business valuation firm located in Tampa, Florida. Gulf Coast has been an affiliate of ACG and works exclusively with business intermediary clients involved with buy/sell transactions of privately-held businesses. Mr. Mize holds a BA degree in Performance Management from The Florida State University. Darren also holds the ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser) Designation in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers.

 With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Erdmann offers appraisal services with a concentration on commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. During any business transaction, it is critical that an owner understand how the business property affects the business value and a deal structure. Robin can assist with any needs ranging from simple appraisals to complex issues involving multiple properties. Mr. Erdmann is currently the Chapter President of the American Society of Appraisers and has served on the board of the Appraisal Institute for many years in addition to other national affiliations.

 Ms. McDaniels has been handling business transactions for over 25 years throughout Northern California. With experience at top companies including current North American Title and Napa Land Title Company, she has personally handled over 10,000 deals.
